What’s new in Rechargly: Mark customer as paying manually, enable a subset of customers, and more

In the last few months, we’ve made a number of enhancements and new features to improve the core workflows of Recharges and Practice Connect. If you have any feature requests or challenges you’d like our engineering and product team to look at, hit reply and let us know.

Here’s what’s new.

Mark manual payments to keep your records clean

You can now mark a customer as paying manually when they settle invoices outside Rechargly. When a customer has been set as “manual payments” from the Agreement page, we will create the invoice in Xero and send it to the customer. You will be responsible for collecting the invoice, however this is very useful for clients that refuse to go onto direct debit.

Enable a subset of customers

You can now enable Rechargly for specific customers instead of switching it on for your entire client base.

Vendor-specific P&L codes

You can assign different P&L codes per vendor for cleaner reporting from the vendors page.

Smaller updates worth knowing

  • Practice Connect lock dates: If Xero Practice Manager lock dates are active, Rechargly can’t push costs into XPM. When this happens, the cost is flagged with a lock date error, and you’ll be notified so you can fix it.
  • Unified Rechargly invoice: Subscription and processing fees now appear on a single invoice.
  • Vendors: You can now recharge or track Figured, Dext, and ApprovalMax directly from the Vendors page. Import CSVs or invoices easily from there.
  • Single line item invoices: Combine multiple subscriptions into a single line item (e.g. “Subscriptions”) via the Invoices page. Click the […] to enable.
  • Mark invoices as sent: If you are using Ignition and want the Rechargly invoices to appear as “sent” when they are pushed into Xero, you can do this from the setup page under billing terms.

What’s next?

The goal stays the same: to make Rechargly the simplest way for firms to track and recover software costs accurately, without messy workarounds. If you have any feedback or feature requests, hit reply to this email and let us know.
